Q: I was told I would get a summons in the mail for trespassing. I was not given a ticket at the scene.
I was with a group of people passing through private property when the police pulled up. After all was said and done we were told we would get a summons in the mail for trespassing. I was not issued a ticket on the scene and the officers did not write anything down during the encounter which was not more than 10 minutes.
A: The cops have one year rod charge you and many times the just mail the summons to you. But you may get lucky if they can't figure out that it was you.
