Newark, NJ asked in Child Support and Health Care Law for California

Q: Can the state of California call my employer in New Jersey and threaten them to force me to purchase Aetna.

The state of California sent my employer a court order for me to provide health insurance for my daughter's in California. The insurance my company offered was too expensive and I despise Aetna. I call Child Support Services the very day and told them I had found cheaper insurance in California but I missed the enrollment period so I was told their mother would have to cancel their insurance in order for me to enroll them. After discussing my issue with child support services they told me they would call me back but instead 15 minutes later they called my employer and threaten them to force me to purchase Aetna Health Insurance. the main issue with this is that I literally lost my own company to Obamacare. I repair handheld surgical instruments for a living. When ObamaCare was being rolled out hospitals were uncertain what was going to happen so they started cutting programs. I lost my company due to Obamacare and now California won't even let me take advantage of Obamacare.

A: This scenario clearly needs more info.

it sounds like you blew it time wise and then are taking it upon yourself to rule out a specific company.

you need someone to go over ALL the facts to get to the bottom of this...........but if there was a court order this case is far along.
