Seymour, TN asked in Landlord - Tenant for North Carolina

Q: Moved in with boyfriend in his NC home can he keep me out of home now.

I moved in in September and because I worked in TN drove back and forth everyday. I found out he was an alcoholic and We broke up in December and I started staying with my daughter in Tn for peace sake. I still was staying at his house on my days off every few weeks to pack my things. We had a verbal agreement that I could wait till March 1 to move out my things when my new place was ready. He is now refusing me to enter the property to pack up the remaining things to get ready for the final move. He works out of town sometimes and is now refusing to even let me move my things out until its convenient for him. Can he keep me from entering the property even though I still have a key to the house? can I enter while he is gone, and can he change the locks and keep me out altogether?
