Q: Brother threatens to take tires off parents vehichle (he bought them) the car is not in his name. Is this legal?

My brother and I use my fathers vehicle getting to and from work. The tires wore down and needed replaced, we each purchased 2 tires for the vehicle (we were NOT asked to do so). My brother has threatened to remove 2 of the tires (along with the head lights and battery he has replaced) once he gets his own car. He has stated he will lock them in his car. Additionally he told me I must get my drivers license to stop him from carrying out this act.

A: Not true. It appears that you and your brother gave the tires and other parts to your parents. If he does this he can probably be prosecuted for theft.

And whether or not you have a license has nothing to do with it.
