Q: Just sold a woman a used antique table. She just emailed my wife today that she doesn't like it and wants her $ back
My wife put an antique table on sale on line (I believe on Facebook). We got quite a few bites and one woman in particular was willing to pay full price however she needed it delivered to her house. She never came by to see it so my wife sent her a series of photographs as well as dimensions. She said it was fine but she wanted it delivered yesterday (Sunday), which I did.
I brought it over asked her if she wanted to see it before paying me and she said "no, I saw it in pictures" so I handed her the table and she handed me $100, the agreed price and I was on my way.
This morning, Monday, my wife received a txt from her that she was unhappy, it wasn't what she expected, and wants her money back. I did a bit of research and it appears I do not owe her anything as she had a chance to inspect it before she paid me but did not. She has sent my wife a couple of messages and we said, in very diplomatic terms, she is stuck with it and I owe her nothing. Correct?
A: For $100, no one is going to do anything. You are probably in the right anyway.
