Los Angeles, CA asked in Immigration Law

Q: I am a U.S citizen and got married to my husband overseas, specifically in Iraq

I am a U.S. citizen and want to bring my husband with me asap. I wanted to live with my husband in Iraq and made an exstention on my visa for 3 years but it was too hard with the living situations ,so we decided it was best to move out here together. What are the steps? Is it possible to bring him while completing his paperwork since I don't have any help or anyone with me except him so i need him. He is also divorced with a child but is not thinking about brining the child with him right now. I want to know the steps and any required paperwork or what they will need for me, will i need a high income to sponsor him? How long will it take for them to realize its not fraud but infact a real marriage. Thanks so much!

A: Your question is not one that can be adequately addressed on a discussion board. I recommend you contact an immigration attorney for an in-depth consultation. Good Luck!
