Q: I was obligated to pay child support for My four children they are 10 years apart from each other
When my four children turned 18 .10 years apart yet I was still paying for all four children my oldest turned 18 and then I was still paying for her and then my second child turned 18 three years later I was still paying for her and then my third child he turned 18 I was still paying for him and then my fourth child he turned 18 none of them went to college or further education then high school should they have been emancipated
A: Emancipation requires a motion at the time your children turned 18, which you did not do. So you need to retain counsel to determine, what if anything can be done. Do not let geographic restrictions get in the way of retaining the best attorney. Pick the best attorney you can find and remember one rule: a good attorney is generally never cheap, and a cheap attorney is generally never good so don't choose based on price.

Thank you for your question.
In New Jersey, Child Support automatically terminates when a child reaches 19 unless a written request seeking the continuation of child support is submitted by the custodial parent. I suggest that you contact the Court and confirm whether there is an active child support order on your children. If there is, you will need to file an motion to emancipate your children as they are over the age of 19 and not enrolled in a secondary program. You should meet with an experienced family law attorney who will be able to assess your situation and answer any questions you may have.
