Q: Can the parent push this case?
I was charged with simple assault and harassment, the victim in the situation does not wish to push charges and is deciding not to show up to court despite her mother's request for the upcoming court case. I was informed by the victims family that the mother will be showing up to court despite her being asleep during the incident, she believes there's more she can do since she's the owner of the home. What should I be worried for?
A: If you haven't already gone to court then please consult with experienced criminal defense counsel before you do. This question seems to have ended up going out to the family law attorneys instead of the criminal lawyers and I have no way of redirecting it to them.
