A: You need to contact an experienced animal attorney immediately for a consultation. Ask the attorney what percentage of their cases are dangerous dog defense, how many trials they have done and the outcomes before moving forward so you make sure you are getting the best advise.

A: First, I would not post any incriminating information online that would identify you or your dogs, because such posts can be used against you in Court. Second, you will need to defend your case in Court. If there is no proof your dogs killed another dog, then you have a decent likelihood of success at Trial. And yes, you can fight the death penalty for your dogs, especially if you accept a plea agreement because you have more control over what the sentence is. However, if you accept a plea, that means you are admitting that you are guilty of whatever charge you plead to and you will have to accept and perform on the sentence, whatever that ends up being. As stated by another attorney, it would be in your best interest to speak with an animal attorney who handles criminal defense matters (because this is a criminal charge against you) to go over your possible defenses and outcomes.
