Q: Is a municipal ordinance for disorderly conduct considered a disorderly persons offense?

A: No a municipal ordinance is not considered a disorderly persons offense, but can carry jail just like a disorderly persons offense. The only real difference is that a municipal ordinance does not have a criminal record attached to it. Either way you should always have a good lawyer whenever you face any possibility of jail.
