Baton Rouge, LA asked in Car Accidents for Louisiana

Q: Got rear ended in a car that isn't mine for work related purposes, can I use a lawyer in a case like mine for injuries?

Got rear ended on I-110 S at the bridge on Florida BLVD downtown while at a stop bringing an Enterprise car back to a body shop that I was working for for repairs and/or damage evaluations for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Stayed in left lane due to it usually being the fast lane but traffic caused the guy in front of me and me to brake. Guy who rear ended me didn't brake until it was too late with tires screeching and all and rammed me at probably 60-70 mph before last second braking, sandwiching me into the truck up front. Car I was driving has no paperwork so I could not provide papers to the police but the guy who rear ended me admitted to fault saying "he did not see traffic ahead". My insurance is not involved since it is not my car that I was driving and my company that works with Enterprise for repairs does not want to be involved at all. Can I use a personal lawyer in a case like this for injuries that the guy caused me and how much could I possibly get for compensation? Thanks.

A: Yes, in your case you would have both potential worker’s compensation and personal injury claims. Give me a call and I’ll be happy to discuss your rights further.

A: Yes you should call a personal injury attorney. How long ago was the accident? Do you have your own insurance? Have you been treating with a doctor? How long before you sought medical treatment? These are all questions that will determine the blue of your claim.
