Van Nuys, CA asked in Traffic Tickets, Constitutional Law and Insurance Defense for California

Q: How do challenge the jurisdiction?

I'm traveling through from ga and I bought a van out of Los Angeles planning to sell it for money. I got pulled over in it like a week later and received a citation for no insurance. It wasnt registered but they didn't say anything about that. A couple of days later it got sold. They want to fine me 1000 dollars or more for it. They scheduled a trial for May 29th and I dnt live here so I have to stay here until it's over
