Q: Early Lease Termination
Hello,
I signed a lease and have paid rent for 3 months thus far into the agreement. The problem is my landlord neglected to make me aware at signing of impending construction that would be occurring on my floor. The construction has resulted in the demolition of amenities promised to me before signing my lease. I feel as though I am now paying a high rent for an unfinished building lacking amenities that I presumed I could make use of as part of our agreement. My question is this, under this circumstance will I be allowed to terminate my lease before it's term is up? Note: I have read my lease and it only lists legal termination clauses that would NOT apply to my situation (i.e. military leave), so I do not feel as though I will be able to terminate, but wanted to be sure there was nothing I can do.
