Q: How long does it take to get a decision on a probate case in Florida appellate court?
Me and my two sisters were found to be legal heirs of my grandmother's property that was fraudently obtained by the defendant's and they appealed the judges order.
A: Have you received notice as to when the briefs are due? Has a hearing been scheduled?

A:
There is no set time for an appeal to be decided. I suspect you have an attorney and if you do not have one, you should hire one immediately.
Before judges start reviewing the legal issues on appeal, briefs must be written. First, the trial court clerk must prepare the record on appeal
The appealing party (appellant) then files a brief and the opposing party (appellee) has the right to file a response brief. If a response brief is filed, the appellant can then file a reply brief. Both sides can obtain extensions to filing their briefs.
Then the judges start considering the legal merits of the appeal. The judges may schedule oral argument. If there is oral argument, the judges utilize it in deciding the case.
Judges have taken long periods or short periods to decide each case.
