Financially I can support the child but don’t have the extra money to hire a lawer
A: You have no idea what a mess you are about to make. The mother retains her rights to the child. What are you going to do when she decides she wants the child back when he or she is about 2-years old? What if the biological father of the child decides the same thing? Have you ever done an adoption? If it sounds easy, it is not. Save your money and go see a lawyer. Children are not puppies that can be "given away." The law has very strict rules about how this can and can't be done. If you don't do this properly you are in for a lot of heartache.
