Q: Can child support equal to more than half a person's income?
I pay over half my income to child support and can't seem to make ends meet for myself.
My license is suspended due to surcharges. I need help getting back on level ground to support myself.
A: You may file am indigency application with the DPS to eliminate or reduce your surcharges. Your child support obligation depends on the number of children you have , and the number of different people you have to make payments to.
