San Antonio, TX asked in Divorce for Oklahoma

Q: What do I need to do now that I have seperated from the man I "married" that is still legally married to his first wife?

Their divorce was never finalized. She left the state and he claims he didnt know. But even after I found out about this, he still never did anything to resolve this issue. That was several years ago.

I'm not 100% certain that he knew at the time we got married or not. He definitely knew before i found out and refused to tell me.

We are from Okla but were married in Branson, Missouri in 2005. I found out about him still being married somewhere around 2010. Other things have happened now and I left for good. We have 3 minor children together and I'm just unsure what I need to do next. He has other serious legal problems going on right now as well.

A: You would need to file for an annulment of the marriage since your husband was married and is still married at the time you got married to him. You will also need to file a Petition against him for paternity to have legal status of your children determined as well as for custody, visitation, and child support issues to be legally dealt with.
