Q: Am I entitled to any compensation for my husband renting two accommodation locations?
My husband rents an apartment in Houston, TX and is keeping it while he takes a minimum 3 month 1099 contractor employment contract. He is being paid hourly, overtime, and a per diem, and funds are going into a joint account.
He will live in an air b'n'b location while also paying for his Houston accommodation, where his stuff is (and his girlfriend lives in Houston.)
Marital funds are being used to support two accommodations and he will be paid a per diem for expenses.
There are no children. I am unemployed and have a mortgage and deed in my name, my car (no lease),and the usual expenses.
A: Yes. That appears to be dissipation of marital assets.
