Q: Can a sergeant force his lower enlisted soldier to wear an ACH for multiple days as punishment?

This soldier was driving a vehicle without wearing a helmet as result his sergeant is forcing him to wear his helmet for multiple days. Multiple sergeants laugh at the soldier while he wears his helmet and it looks like hazing/bullying to me. I understand he was wrong for driving the vehicle without a helmet on, but it was a really short distance and I feel like it's wrong for them to get entertainment out of this punishment.

A: It does sound like it'd meet the AR standards for hazing. You can take your concerns to the command's IG or JAG (or, if the command doesn't have an IG, go to the ISIC's IG or JAG).
