Q: I have a house that I sold for 8900 but the problem is the there is a judgement lien against me for a equity loan on tha

My mother took out in 2003 the bank took me to court and got a judgement lien against me for the balance i cant afford to pay it and the house is in bad shape the foundation is crumbling the roof needs repair and the basement floods the electrical is bad etc. So when the fees are done i clear 1300 dollaras how do i get this k lien settle so the buyer can take ownership of the property try settling the loan for 5000 . I just want the property be sold and settle the debt for 5000.00 with payments what can i do

A: The property remains subject to the judgment lien until you settle with the bank, and the bank releases it. If buyer will accept, you can convey the property by Quit Claim Deed, but the property remains subject to the judgment lien, and the buyer might have to pay to release it when he wants to sell the property.
