Saint Louis, MO asked in Estate Planning and Probate for Ohio

Q: Dad residing in perrysburg, OH died July 5. Have brother that Is executor never mentioned anything abt dads estate.

Has been bad blood between us for many years. We were there week before he passed & dad was brought to st louis for burial where I live. Dad has will & trust. When asked brother for info he lost his composure & got furious in text. & have heard nothing. I have yet to receive it. From what I see online he has 60 days, we have heard nothing since dad died. Trying to figure out what our next step should be. Dad very private & didn't say much but said enough for 2 boys to split. Any help in figuring out what next step would be will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

A: You need an attorney to determine the status of any probate case and advise you. If a probate case has not been opened, then you could open it. Use the Find a Lawyer tab to retain a probate attorney in the county in which your father was living.
