Q: Can a father take the child away from its mother if she tries to leave him?
My friend and her boyfriend have a baby together and everytime she tries to leave him he threatens to take the baby from her or call the cops on her for kidnapping. Can he do that?
A: No. She cannot kidnap her own child. Second, he may be the presumptive father of the child, but there is no order of custody giving him any right to the child. See needs a lawyer.
