Q: Do grandparents have any rights to visitation in Illinois. Our granddaughter is 13 months old.
We have not seen her in two months. We were her primary caregivers when her mother was at work from February to June if this year. She never lived with us, though.
Her mother and our son were never married.
There is no court order for custody or visitation between the parents. The mother has our granddaughter and allows our son to see her occasionally.
