Asked in Criminal Law for Florida

Q: I currently am in another country with a warrant out for my arrest. I want go turn myself in.

I feel my case is complicated and I might not be tried properly in court. I was arrested for selling marijuana over 20 grams and the state was trying to send me to prison because of my juvenile criminal history. I got scared so I fled . Its really complicated because I also violated my conditional release / plea in my juvenile court cases because of that arrest and I already completed multiple programs for those cases. Please give me advice thank you

A: You need to retain a lawyer in the jurisdiction where the crimes occurred. The lawyer will arrange your surrender to the court. The problem that you face is that you may be detained upon entry into the country. You may then face extradition to the state where the crimes occurred. Ultimately, you will need to resolve your cases; otherwise, you will always be looking over your shoulder.
