Q: My car is stolen from a dealership (service dept), what do I do?
Hi,
I left my car at an official Ford dealership for servicing. The next day, the car was stolen from their lot. It is still not found. Police and dealership employees are not responsive, and I am considering bringing this issue to court. What are my chances of winning it and would that be the best move?
Thank you for your time,
S
A:
more info needed.
i would think their insurance would cover this.
remember this is not the type of case that lawyers take on a contingency but rather would handle on an hourly.
if they accepted on a contingency and your car was worth $12,000 and the lawyer took 1/3 you would be left with $8k
if low value you can always go to small claims where you can sue for $10k but i doubt the car dealership would let it go that far.
