Q: I need a divorce lawyer . I dont have lot a money for a retainer .

My first lawyer i gave 7500 to and she went to court 3x and said the money was finshed . I have not received a invoice from her. My next lawyers Charles and Pete I gave 7500, his so called partner took 2500. Charles invoiced me but he said I did not fill out the asset paper correctly . I explained to him I needed help. He claimed I was uncoperitive . Pete his partner now he tells he is not hia partner has $2500 of my money no invoice and no reponse.

My husband veido taped me arguing about a house I bought he gutted it out and left it. I paid for mortage, health insurance, car payment , car insurance . I needed help . He manged his mom building she would give him a credit card . Peter my husband never contributed anything to me or my mortage. Before he served me . The house went in to contract and it sold. The dispute is about how much should he get . I also want my dog he has . I have the receipt. He had me removed from the family building and I was homeless .

A: Is your divorce a NY divorce? If it is you need to call the NY State Bar and report the attorneys. They do not have the right to any of the money if they did not bill/invoice you at least every 60 days.
