Q: I got a apeeding ticket and ended paying full fines in virginia. When i was looking over the receipt i saw fines that
have nothing to do with the speeding ticket i recieved. I tried to ask for the reason i was paying fines that i was never charged with and is irrelevant to my speeding ticket. They said cause they had. Which is not a reason what so ever. Reason for ticket was for charges against in court was for a speeding in a vehicle, and my receipt has an add on fines like: internet crime agai.... I looked at what kind of fine that was and found out it had nothing to do the speeding ticket
A:
If you got a speeding ticket then you would normally pay the fine (determined by the judge or by a prepaid formula if you prepaid it) plus court costs. The court costs on a speeding ticket are usually about $61-66 in most jurisdictions but if your original charge was reckless driving by speed then the court costs are usually $86-96 in most courts, in addition to the fine.
On a speeding ticket you should only have to pay the fine plus the court costs.
