Q: Hours reduced and possibly split while on maternity leave.
While on maternity leave i was informed my hours were reduced from 40 to 20 due to revenue changes and work hour allotments. I was hired 2 years ago as a 40 hour hourly manager with benefits. All other managers are salary. I am being told i can supplement my hours by working as an hourly employee (not management). This would be accepting a position that is a step down. I was also informed two other individuals are being trained for my same position and others were told I would have to share my 20 manager hours with them. Is this legal? What rights do I have?
