Radcliff, KY asked in Divorce for Kentucky

Q: I am a single mom of 2 small girls and I married a man in TN 2 years ago he was and still is in prison I found stuff out

About him and our marriage and need a divorce. We got married at the prison and he is still in prison we were on and off together for 8 years this Feb he has been in prison all of that time except a year and a half. We have no kids together and no assets at all. Since we have been married I found out he has been trying to cheat on me has been using drugs and last but not least isn't mentally stable he attempted suicide twice the first time he was found hanging and had been hanging for 22 minutes they estimate he was dead for 18 minutes he spent a week in ICU on life support. And then got back to the prison and tried again. He has also been lying to me about having cancer to try to get me to stay with him. He is due to be released in Jan or Feb but has a parole hearing in Oct I want a divorce before he gets out. He keeps saying he isn't giving up on me or us and won't give me a divorce and he's gonna come here when he gets out. I want a divorce asap. I have no income. How can I proceed?

A: Go to your local bar association or legal aid society. If you qualify, they can help you get divorced. With no kids and no assets, shouldn’t be difficult.
