Long Beach, CA asked in Animal / Dog Law for Kentucky

Q: My dog was killed and my neighbor has two storied to his "dead" and he wont tell me where his body is.

I live in Kentucky where I lived with my dog for 11 years. 2 days ago i got home and my dog ran out, right after he ran out i sent my daughter to get my dog. My daughter came back telling me the neighbors told her my dog was attacked by another dog. Because i have a 3 month baby I was unable to go ask my neighbors. I went to ask them after the rest of my family got home and he said that my dog was ran over and dead. He said he put him in a box and throw him away. I called the police and they said they can not do anything about it since m dog was on his property. At this point I don't know if my dog is really dead or if he is hurt somewhere. I need help to get my dog he was a very special family member.

A: You need to sue you neighbor for “killing” your dog. That will get you the answers you seek.
