A: There is some chance of spousal support, but that would require an in person consultation with an experienced matrimonial attorney and a detailed review of the assets and liabilities of both parties.

A: Thank you for your question.

Alimony is based on a number of factors including the parties’ income as well as expenses. In looking at each, we must look at the marital lifestyle to determine whether support is warranted. This is a short term marriage so depending on the financial circumstances of the parties’ it will depend whether or not alimony is appropriate. Based on your circumstances, it would be best to contact an experienced family law attorney to address your specific concerns and to ensure you understand your rights.
