New Iberia, LA asked in Child Custody, Family Law and Estate Planning for Louisiana

Q: Ex husband came out of nowhere and took my son with an ex parte custody ruling because of ALL false allegations.

Hi, I had a court order from an HOC to get a hair follicle test and a EtG urine test at a place they specified to go. Well, I went there but didn't want to do the hair follicle because I was afraid it would come out positive bc of the medication I was on so I tried to take just the urine test. They said either both or neither so I went down the road to another place and took the exact 10 panel EtG urine test and it came back negative. Now I just read that I am in contempt and have to do a hair follicle test. I plan to do one tomorrow. Can I go to anywhere that is certified or do I have to go to where the court originally designated me to go to because they will probably want me to do another urine test and that means I would have to pay another $70 again. Just wondering thanks for your help.

A: Go to the lab the court ordered and bring your prescriptions with you.
