If there is a potential lawsuit or claim against somebody for causing the death and there are dependent spouse minor children Then such persons first and foremost should obtain the advice of an attorney and representation to even review if someone is liable and to assist in obtaining a recovery or prosecuting the claim. In the state will likely have to be set up as well. I would not first worry about what can you get but first look at is their liability and is there an opportunity for recovery and the resources that may be available.
