A: I don't know that there is case law on the subject but my guess is that a Judge would rule yes, the purpose of the notice is to alert the tenant to the landlord's entry in case the tenant wishes to be present. Presumably the tenant can legally limit the scope of the inspection but must do so affirmatively before or at the time of the inspection. If you did not tell the landlord not to enter an area, the general 24 hr notice would allow them to inspect the entire premises.
