Oklahoma City, OK asked in Child Custody and Child Support for Oklahoma

Q: I live in Oklahoma, my ex wife & I have joint custody but she is the custodial parent. She decided to move 2 hrs away

The kids (13&17) didn’t want to go with her and stayed to live with me. She now just sees them every other weekend. We did not go back to court but made a verbal agreement about visitation and support. But now she is refusing to pay me anything for their support and still insists that she is custodial parent and in charge. My question is if I take her back to court will the court take my kids away and make them move or will they make mom accountable?

A: If the children have been living with you and wish to stay in your home the process would be to modify your order. After reviewing your case an attorney can tell you how to get this done and your chance of success.
