Reading, PA asked in Business Law for Pennsylvania

Q: Can a web store cancel a customer order unilaterally telling their price was incorrect due to a technical glitch?

I live in the US. I purchased a product from a website, owned by a business operating out of India. I have the order confirmation and my credit card was charged. Now the business is canceling my order by telling that their price was wrongfully low due to a technical glitch and the actual price is higher. Can they really do that, legally? Isn't an online business transaction a binding contract? What is my recourse?

A: It is a violation of bait-and switch, they have a contract, they should deliver; did they refund your card?

If not contact the consumer protection office of your attorney general. However they may not handle it as it's a foreign company even though doing business here.
