Q: My husband is paying child support and his ex became pregnant by a man that was abusive to her and just got out of jail.
We had no idea that she was dating a criminal and is now dating another guy and he has been staying over with her for about for months but we have not been able to meet him or talk to her and when we pick up or drop off our son she never comes out. What can we possibly do about that? She is also constantly asking us to but him things even though she gets child support, can she still tell us buy him things even though she's getting child support?
A: You can file a motion to modify and depending on all of the facts request primary custody of the child. Then she would be responsible for paying child support.
