Q: Needing to get my dog back from someone that. CLAIMS it was given to him

The young man my son let keep his dog for 2-3. Weeks while he got back in his feet ... Moved from his house into another and cut contact with us ... We lost the dog for sometime in this ... Just recently we found out that the dog was still in state and has been abused by this other young man who CLAIMS he was given the dog in Dec... Lie ... We have proof who was suppose to have him .... He also CLAIMS that he recently took dog to get and was told dog was abused .... Lie ... I have vet record myself from when i had dog at vet ... This young man says he will have me arrested for filing a false police report .. I did not get ignorant with him like he did with me ... What can idoto get my dog back before any further damage is done to him

A: Get the dogs vet records showing you had ownership of him and take the police with you to retrieve him. You should also file a criminal complaint against him for theft.
