Can they take my dog

Lady gives me dog that was registered as Found. No one claimed after 10 days of being registered. She says shes a Foster through LMAS but I believe is only someone who reported this dog found. She gave me the dog with out having me fill out paper work or making sure LMAS fixed and microchip. I have since moved out of state with the dog. She now claims I Must bring dog back to Kentucky to have LMAS spay/vaccinate her and Fill out an Adoption Application. She has broken Foster Policy with LMAS

A: Do you have somewhere safe you can keep the dog that is not at your house? If so, you should move him there for safekeeping and so no one can take him from you until the ownership is established. I sincerely doubt that they will get a warrant, but if they do, the dog won’t be there. Don’t give them any information snd don’t talk to them about anything. Call Martha at my office and schedule an appointment on Monday.
