Largo, FL asked in Estate Planning and Real Estate Law for Florida

Q: Siblings inherit property in CA. 1 signs quitclaim to other. Grantee dies (intestate in CA) before grantor. What now?

Grantee has surviving spouse (no children) who is appointed Admin. Of Estate in CA Probate. Can grantor (sibling) claim interest in property because it was inherited even though she signed a quitclaim years ago and deceased is only name on title.
