Q: Never married my ex we have a 13 year old daughter together who lives with her mom. My house burn down and I bought a
new one with insurance money. Is the ex entitled to the value of new trailer and its contents and can they raise my child support because of the new trailer? I live in Texas. I'am also raising two minor biological children who live with me.
A: If you are not married I do not see how your ex girlfriend would be entitled to the value of the new trailer and contents. Regarding child support that be increased or decreased based on your income changing. The fact that you are also supporting two minor children who live with you should also be factored into the amount of child support you pay.
