Q: My husband walked out of a 17 yrs marriage sole supporter 100% refuses to help in anyway looking to get support from him

looking for information on how I can get him to pay support or if there is anything That I can do to request temporary support alimony until I divorce can be decided or filed. Let me add that My husband filed today and requested to pay part of my bills along with $100 a week.. that doesn’t even touch 25% of his income. Is there anything I can do in the mean time to get more help I am disabled and cant even get meds with 100 a week. or food or anything… I don't have a dime to even pay for a lawyer...

A: You should go ahead and file for the divorce and a motion for temporary relief. You should consider consulting and retaining a family law attorney. Most Justia attorneys offer a free initial consultation. Call one today. Good luck.
