A: Having drug paraphernalia is a criminal / disorderly persons offense in New Jersey and you face up to 180 days in jail, thousand-dollar fine, and probation as determined by the court. Many defenses exist for these types of cases. Thus I suggest you hire a good criminal lawyer. A: Paraphernalia is a disorderly persons offense, and more importantly, in addition to $1,000 fine, you may face a driver’s license suspension. You should consult with an attorney to discuss your options and defenses.
