Indianapolis, IN asked in Contracts, Family Law, Real Estate Law and Landlord - Tenant for Indiana

Q: My abuser is living at my apartment and won't leave. He isn't on the lease so how can I get him out of there?

A: File a police report for domestic abuse. Indiana law provides protections for abuse victims and protections from landlord retaliation in situations like this. File a police report, obtain a protective order and go from there. Look for free legal services if you cannot afford your own legal representation.
