A: You could contact a Colorado attorney to ask how much it would cost to draft a basic agreement to be used from now on by customers bringing equipment for repair. Some of the issues covered could include actions you'll take with equipment that is abandoned, charges for disposal of waste streams requiring vendors for regulatory compliance, if applicable (i.e., batteries, circuit boards, etc.), etc. There are other issues an experienced Colorado attorney could help you identify. Hopefully, a good agreement could help avoid future headaches from abandoned equipment. Good luck.
