Q: Is it the end of world to be convicted of Misdemeanor C in TX? Will this municipal record affect my job application?

A: It probably depends on both the job and the charge. Charges like Theft or Assault probably have a greater impact than a traffic offense... but if the job was as a professional driver then the traffic offense might be a big problem. There are some employers that might be offended by a charge like Possession of Drug Paraphernalia or Public Intoxication and other employers that might not care at all. There are a dozen ways to commit the offense of Disorderly Conduct... some of them are quite tame and others are potentially quite offensive, depending on your audience.

Your best bet is to hire a local attorney to either fight he charge outright or to attempt to negotiate a resolution that does not result in a conviction so you can expunge it later if it is a problem for your career.
