Grover Beach, CA asked in Landlord - Tenant for California

Q: Can business still sue me after I delete negative Yelp review?

I posted negative yelp review after moving. I immediately got a call from property management, which I ignored. I got a vm stating they sent an email and they will be taking me to court for it. I also received a text stating they would “see you in court,” over this review. When I opened the email, it shows they included their attorney. The email was a demand to edit or delete the email as it contained libel defamation etc. I blocked their phone so I didn’t rec’v anymore calls or texts. However less than an hr later I edited to state, “fact-etc etc...” also posting that I edited the review due to the companies threats. I included pics of the threats-emails, texts, vm. It’s my first amendment right to truthfully give my experience. They then kept back and forth stated they kept a copy of original and edited. Continued to state it’s false claims at which I reported it was not. Then I just got tired of arguing so I deleted it. they say damage has been done and I will be held accountable.??
