Q: I receive SSI. Have I committed fraud by not timely reporting a change timely?
I receive SSI (Social Security Supplemental Security Income.). I failed to report a change in a timely manner and as a result was overpaid. I did eventually report it. Just not in a timely manner. Is is problematic whether the over payment would have been discovered, expect for my bringing to the attention of SSI. Have I committed fraud?
