Asked in Criminal Law and Divorce for Texas

Q: Fugitive of Justice, class A misdemeanor

My partner has been deported from Europe to the States for overstaying his permit. At Jfk airport arrested because he missed his court date a year and half ago in Texas. He's been sent to a jail in NY and he will have to appear in court in two days. So it will make 6 days from his formal arrest. Bail on remand. And the charges are Fugitive of Justice, class A misdemeanor. Can you help us? Am not sure if a year and a half ago had been arrested over a quarrel or something else pending such as credit card fraud relating to many years ago. Anyway following his arrest his family bailed him out and because his child was taken overseas, without his knowledge and permission, by the mother, he fled looking for his kid. But we need an experienced lawyer to explain the situation. Is there a chance they let him free in two days?
