Roseville, CA asked in Contracts and Insurance Bad Faith for California

Q: Can a public insurance adjuster force you to terminate a contact for their services?

3 weeks of stalls and setbacks, then abruptly tells us to go away. I have a signed contract but they will not fulfill terms and now are trying to force me to sign a termination release. Is this legal.....(never mind unethical)

A: It's not illegal in the sense that no crime has been committed. Whether or or not it breaches your contract depends on what the contract says about termination. You might have a claim for specific performance or breach of contract. You might not.
